II Distributed Energy Congress

The AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, together with IGEOS (The Chamber of Commerce for Energy and Environmental Protection) organised the second edition of the congress devoted to energy transformation.

The idea of a sustainable energy future and new directions for its implementation are gaining momentum. The development of distributed energy systems and renewable energy sources and the related need for keeping up with legal regulations have become the main subject of discussion. Various representatives of public administration, numerous experts and the scientific community, focus their efforts on planning an effective and safe transformation that will provide an alternative stable source of energy supply. The essence of distributed energy is its local dimension, which is why cooperation of the energy industry requires a number of connections at the interface with the economic environment, local government and central administration.

Our role begins here:
An approach to how energy is generated, stored, and distributed requires a refreshed plan for cybersecurity solutions, as the distributed energy management process is completely different from previous cybersecurity schemes and strategies.
The transformation is also accompanied by a number of challenges, including the growing need for active planning and action for the right technological solutions, the urgent need for changes to protect the environment, and organizing a well-educated workforce to ensure a secure energy future.
