Nuclear Energy Congress

The two-day Nuclear Energy Congress took place in Warsaw.

It was the second edition of the key event organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Energy and Environmental Protection (IGEOS), where the most current information on the development of nuclear energy in Poland is discussed. On the stage, we saw, among others, the Directors of the Chamber, Mr. Bogdan Pilch and Ms. Monika Silva, who opened the congress with an inauguration on the topic: “How to become a nuclear energy hub in Europe” and how Polish companies can support the implementation of nuclear projects in Poland. Energy is one of the key areas of our activity at DYNACON. We listened attentively to the panels on energy transformation, including the speeches of the VIP guests of the congress: Undersecretary of State and Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure from the Ministry of Climate and Environment Maciej Bando and Director of the Nuclear Energy Department at the Ministry of Industry Paweł Pytlarczyk. It was a huge amount of knowledge and the latest information, including legislation and technological innovations, related to the Polish energy transformation.
On the second day of the conference, DYNACON representatives visited the National Center for Nuclear Research together with other participants of the event, visiting the MARIA reactor and the Materials Research Laboratory, where we learned more about the HTGR-Pola reactor designed by the Poles. It is a 30 MWt research reactor with a coolant temperature of 750 degrees Celsius at the reactor outlet. It is based on uranium fuel type TRISO. The project, implemented according to schedule, will be completed in the second half of 2024.
